Rhythm
Gentle and consistent rhythms inspire imagination, while supporting a sense of security that allows for self-initiation. Weekly activities include baking, painting, coloring, cooking, cleaning, building, gardening, and nature walks, all to develop fine and gross motor skills, while fostering creativity. Daily free play, both indoors and outdoors, offers opportunities for social and emotional learning.

Curriculum
Play is the work of the child. Our play-based curriculum builds the foundation for later academic learning through movement, free play, and daily exploration of nature.
Puppet shows, movement circle, music, fairy tales, and story time teach oral and receptive language skills. Age-appropriate sensory activities with natural materials cultivate a connection to the natural world and a life-long love of learning!
Through the Waldorf early childhood curriculum, your child develops readiness for first grade.

Movement
Movement is the base of learning. A moving body is a learning body.
Daily movement opportunities, both indoors and out, offer your child ample opportunity to develop fine and gross motor coordination, social connections, and appreciation of the natural world.
Outdoor explorations are offered throughout the seasons.
During the application process, we will meet together with your family and our faculty to determine when your child is ready for the Nursery Class.
