Parent & Infant Class
Ages birth - 12 months
Becoming a new parent can be one of the most joyous times in a couple's life. It can also be the loneliest and the most confusing. Even when your baby is not your first! This class will provide opportunities for community, companionship with other parents, and support. It will be a forum created within an atmosphere of love and trust in which questions can be asked and concerns can be aired. We will explore methods of caregiving and parenting including REI parenting, Magda Gerber's parenting philosophy based upon respect for the infant, as well as how working with the beautiful philosophies behind Waldorf Education can help you intuitively perceive and meet your child's needs. Meditative observation of your child, a nurturing snack, and opportunities for simple handwork will round out our sessions.
Please join Kim Carr for a class dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for the Parent or Caregiver and Infant.
