Early Childhood - Assistant Teacher
A flexible position with morning, afternoon or full day possibility

Apple Blossom Waldorf School & Family Center is seeking an Early Childhood assistant teacher for the 2025-26 school year.
This is an hourly paid, flexible position in our Nursery and Kindergarten classrooms with children ages 18 months-3 years old or 3 - 6 years old. This can be a part time or full time position with morning and/or afternoon openings.
As our school is growing there is room to grow professionally.

Qualifications: A warm and open disposition with the ability to lovingly care for children of mixed ages. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and hold a bachelor’s degree or associate degree. Eagerness to learn about Apple Blossom and Waldorf education. Waldorf training and experience preferred, but not required.
​
Requirements: The ability to meet Connecticut OEC licensing requirements including yearly professional development, as well as to pass a CT criminal background check. To be able to lift and carry small children during caregiving times.
Apple Blossom Waldorf School and Family Center is a full member of WECAN. In its 20th year, the School and Family Center has expanded in recent years and is a warm and supportive community.

Benefits: Apple Blossom offers paid sick days and time off to all of its employees. We offer a 20% contribution towards a vision and dental plan. Staff receives tuition remission for children attending Apple Blossom programs and a stipend for attending teacher training when applicable. All staff are given a ticket to the annual WECAN conference in Spring Valley, NY each February, as well as paid accommodations for the weekend.

Summer Camp Counselor June-August 2026
Join our caring, state licensed Waldorf community at Apple Blossom Waldorf School and Family Center in Wilton, CT. An early childhood center in our 22th year, we serve ~ 50 families during the school year. We value the protection of childhood and trust in the natural unfolding of the development of the young child. We provide joyful, rhythmic days filled with free play, crafts from natural materials, song, story on a wooded property with nourishing, and organic, homemade snacks.

Our Summer Program:

Runs for 9 weeks from June 15 - August 14
-
Nursery class: max. 8 children / week. Mixed age group of 18 months - 3 years old.

Kindergarten class: max. 20 children / week. Mixed age group of 3-7 years old.

The hours are 8:30 am - 1:30 pm, plus extended care until 4:30 pm
The Position: can be for as many weeks as available. Either part time or full time. It is an hourly paid position starting at $18/hour

To be able to lift and carry small children during caregiving times when necessary. Participate in on site training provided by Apple Blossom before the start of camp.
