Bryn Stecher

Floating Assistant Teacher

Bryn Stecher joins Apple Blossom School as a Floating Assistant Teacher, bringing with her a background in environmental science and early childhood education. Her teaching is grounded in reverence for nature and a commitment to nurturing each child’s innate curiosity, creativity, and sense of belonging. Bryn believes that wonder is one of our first teachers and that nature, in all its beauty and rhythm, offers one of the most profound classrooms we can enter.

Bryn has worked with children of a range of ages, from toddlers to teenagers, guiding them through hands-on exploration in both classroom and outdoor settings. At a summer camp in Connecticut, she led daily activities that included arts and crafts, swimming and boating lessons, and sports. She is currently studying Waldorf education at Sophia’s Hearth and is inspired by the way Waldorf education honors rhythm and the integration of mind, body, and spirit in the development of the whole child. She previously studied Environmental Science and Sustainability at Barnard College, where she deepened her passion for understanding and communicating the natural world.

A lover of adventure, Bryn recently completed a multi-month cross-country road trip with her family, visiting national parks and forests throughout the United States of America. She is also a ceramicist, watercolor enthusiast, and passionate home baker who enjoys foraging for seasonal ingredients to cook with. Bryn brings this spirit of wonder, creativity, and joyful exploration to her work each day and is honored to support the nurturing and experience-rich classrooms at Apple Blossom.
